Informal Hire

Please read the following before filling out the hire application form.

HOW TO MEASURE:

1. CHEST : Around chest, under the arms, with arms at side relaxed.

2. WAIST : Actual waist - not trouser size. At navel level, firm measurement (around belly button).

3. LENGTH : for kilt. Stand up straight with feet together. Measure from actual waistline (as for no.2), down leg to rest onto top of kneecap.

4. COLLAR : Around neck, as for shirt size.

5. SHOE SIZE : SA or UK size.

6. HEIGHT : No shoes, measured in metres, or feet and inches.

Please be accurate. We depend on your measurements to ensure that you get a perfectly fitting outfit.

Booking well in advance is strongly recommended.

  • The total hire cost per outfit is R1100.00
  • The total value of an outfit is R16 000.00
  • 50% of total cost payable with the booking
  • 50% ot total cost-on collection
  • Where outfits are sent to other places, the balance is payable before collection of the parcels. Freight costs - where applicable, are for the customers account.

    The cost in pounds sterling is £65.00 per outfit.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The cost of each outfit is R16 000. If the outft, or any part thereof, is lost, stolen or damaged, the customer is personally liable.
  • The outfits are to be returned in the same condition as they were hired out in.
  • Additional charges will be applicable if any item returned needs special cleaning or repairs.
  • The hirer will be liable for the full cost of any item not returned.
  • Each outfit must be returned no later than Monday following the week of hire. A fee of R50 will be charged per day for late returns, unless arranged by prior agreement.
  • If the hire is cancelled, the 50% deposit will be forfeited. If the hire is paid in full and cancelled within 7 days of the hire date, 50% of the cost will be forfeited.
  • In the event that Rob Roy has to claim from its insurance for the loss, damge or theft of any outfit, the hirer will be liable for the cost of the insurance excess.

FITTING ARANGEMENTS

Times for fittings will be made with each customer on the Monday prior to the week en or Friday function. Each fitting takes approx. 30 miutes, and these fittings take place on the Thursday or Friday prior to the function. If your function is during the week, special arrangements will be made for your fittings. Once the fitting is complete, the outfit will be packed into a suit bag to take with you straight away.
